A Nature Based Playground for Menzies!

Have your say!

The Shire of Menzies is considering the merits of replacing the current non-compliant playground with an “Organic” nature-based space, that reflects the natural environment, and provides ongoing high play and landscape value to children and people of all ages.

Before committing funds or seeking grant funding, the Shire would like to know your opinion about this initiative.

Many other Local Governments have provided nature-based playground spaces, and they are proving popular. Many of you will have seen the new developments unfolding in Merredin. The images here are of the recently completed nature trail in Cottesloe, courtesy of Nature Based Play who designed and delivered the project

At this stage the Shire is just gauging community support for such an initiative. If supported, the Shire will seek grant funding for the project.

We’re keen to hear your view, so let us know what you think by making a submission below.

Submissions close at 5pm Monday 30 September, so don’t delay.
