Shire of Menzies appoints new CEO
At a Special Meeting of the Council held on 12 October 2023, the Shire of Menzies appointed a new permanent CEO.
Glenda Teede has worked as Chief Executive Officer in Local Government in Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Her most recent appointment in WA was as CEO at the Shire of Victoria Plains, a job she held for six years.
Shire President Cr Greg Dwyer said that Glenda was in the mix to be the successful candidate as her experience made her particularly well-placed to be successful at Menzies. After interviews and other ‘due diligence’ processes, her suitability was beyond doubt.
Cr Dwyer said that he and other Councillors were looking forward to working closely with Glenda after a period of over twelve months without a permanent CEO.
The new CEO will start at the Shire on 26 October 2023.
