If so, we want you to join our team as a Gardener on a full-time basis in Menzies, just 134kms from Kalgoorlie and 101kms from Leonora, offering easy access to larger towns and a peaceful rural lifestyle.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Garden and Grounds Maintenance: Plan, cultivate and maintain the Shire’s gardens, lawns and green spaces.
- Plant Health: Conduct regular plant health inspections and assist with seasonal plantings and garden enhancements.
- Irrigation: Design, install and maintain irrigation systems across Shire parks and facilities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Works team on landscaping projects throughout the townsite.
- Equipment Care: Operate and maintain gardening tools, machinery and equipment safely.
- Plant Selection: Provide input on plant selection and procurement suited to the local climate.

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, landscaping or a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge: Understanding of plant care, irrigation and horticultural practices
- Skills: Ability to safely operate gardening equipment and machinery
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Licence: Current driver’s licence
- Work Rights: Must have valid Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
