We our proud to partner with the Menzies Aboriginal Corporation and Menzies Community School to celebrate the spirit of our community this Harmony Week.
On Wednesday, 18 March, we invite all residents to come together at the Ngalipaku Rec Centre to honor our diversity and reinforce the message that no matter our backgrounds, in Menzies, everyone belongs.

The morning is packed with creative and science-themed workshops for all ages:

Scientific Sun Prints: A unique experiment using turmeric and sunlight to create one-of-a-kind art.

Harmony Bunting: Help us decorate orange, gold, and yellow bunting to create a lasting community display.

Braiding & Crafts: Create symbolic wearable art using traditional Harmony Day colors and beads.

"Everyone Belongs" Games: Get moving with the Orange Ribbon Relay, Sack Races, and a community Tug of War!
π₯’ Community Eats: A Taste of Goldfields History
To conclude our celebration, we will host a special Asian-themed Community Eats lunch.
This menu honors the rich history of the Asian residents and explorers who played a vital role in the early days of the Goldfields. It is a delicious way to acknowledge the diverse cultures that have shaped our region’s heritage from the very beginning.
