Our brand identity is much more than a logo, or a tagline – it’s the values that drive us, the actions that define us, the stories we tell.

It’s how we communicate who we are, both visually and verbally. Our brand identity is our face to the world.

By taking the time and care to be consistent, we ensure the world sees the Shire of Menzies the same way we do.

Background

On 27 February 2025, the Council supported a rebranding project for the Shire of Menzies, resolving to approve any proposed designs before implementation. On 31 July 2025, a Brand Identity proposal was submitted to Council – they resolved that the matter be adjourned until the Ordinary Council Meeting in October 2025, pending community consultation.

Identity Perth

Identity Perth have been contracted as the brand and marketing experts for the rebranding project. Identity Perth have extensive experience in shire, city and regional branding, including: Great Southern Wine Region, Shire of Murchison, City of Wanneroo, City of Albany, WA Country Health Service, WA Treasury and Great Southern Development Commission. They have also worked with Tourism WA for over 15 years and have successfully branded many Tourism operators within WA.

New Brand Identity

The Shire of Menzies is now inviting the community of the Shire to provide their feedback on the proposed new brand identity. Feedback will be in the form of a survey, the link to which is provided below.

Participants will be asked to fill in some details, then to vote on their preferred option for:

  • logo (in order of preference)
  • tagline

We encourage all participants, before providing their feedback to read through the brand identity documents, in order to familiarise themselves with the essence of the proposed branding.
