SHIRE OF MENZIES
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO IMPOSE DIFFERENTIAL RATES
In accordance with section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995, Shire of Menzies hereby gives notice to its ratepayers of its intention to impose the following differential rates for each rating category for the 2022/23 financial year.

The Statement of Objects and Reasons for the above differential rates was adopted at Ordinary Council Meeting on Thursday 26 May 2022. A copy of the statement is available for inspection at the Shire office, Shenton Street, Menzies, 6436 and on the Shire’s website at www.menzies.wa.gov.au.
Electors and Ratepayers are invited to make written submissions to the proposed differential and minimum rates to Council for its consideration within twenty-one (21) days of this notice. Submissions close at 5.00pm on Tuesday 21 June 2022. No late submissions will be accepted.
All submissions are to be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Menzies, PO Box 4, Menzies, WA 6436, or by emailing admin@menzies.wa.gov.au.
Once Council has considered the submissions, the Differential Rates and the 2022/23 Budget (with or without modification) will be adopted by Council.
