Shire of Menzies appoints new CEO

At the Council Meeting held on 15 September 2026, Ms Anita Nathan (Anitha Varadaraj) was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer for the Shire of Menzies.

Anita has worked in local government in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia and comes highly qualified in finance and accounting. She has extensive knowledge of the region having been involved in a number of local and regional organisations.

Shire President, Cr Paul Warner said Anita was recommended by the CEO Selection Committee as a standout applicant. Her accounting qualifications and  knowledge of the Goldfields Region will be of great benefit to the Shire of Menzies.

The new CEO will start at the Shire on 1 October 2026.
