2025 Local Government Elections: Candidate Information Webinar
Are you considering nominating as a candidate in the 2025 Local Government Elections? To help you navigate the process, WALGA, in partnership with the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) and the WA Electoral Commission (WAEC), is hosting a Candidate Information Webinar.

This informative session is designed to support individuals considering a nomination, offering an overview of key election processes and the responsibilities of Local Government and Council Members. You will also gain insight into the regulatory role of LGIRS.

- Responsibilities of Local Government and Council Members
- Regulatory oversight from LGIRS

A panel of expert presenters will share their knowledge to ensure potential candidates are well-prepared for both the electoral process and, if elected, the responsibilities of life as a Council Member:
